Dr. Joel Mackes, DC

Dr. Joel Mackes is a chiropractor at Incline Chiropractic and Tahoe Chiropractic Clinic who is passionate about helping patients move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things they love. With a lifelong connection to chiropractic care, Dr. Joel brings both personal experience and professional expertise to his approach to patient wellness.

Born in New York and raised in Idaho, Dr. Joel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Idaho before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences.

Chiropractic has been a part of Dr. Joel’s life since childhood, giving him firsthand experience with the positive impact it can have on overall well-being. His own journey inspired him to pursue a career in chiropractic so he could help others experience those same benefits. He is passionate about helping patients improve their mobility, support recovery, and maintain active, healthy lifestyles.

In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Joel is certified in shockwave therapy and physiotherapy, allowing him to incorporate a variety of treatment approaches to support his patients’ individual needs and goals.

Outside the office, Dr. Joel loves spending time with his three dogs and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer. Whether he’s off-roading, exploring the mountains, or taking advantage of anything snow-related, he embraces the active lifestyle that makes the Tahoe and Incline Village communities so special.
